| 1944 | Summer | July 28, large young out, Park Rapids, Eastman. This is the most northerly record of this species' breeding, according to Dr. Roberts in Audubon 1\Iaga.zine, Field Notes Section, November-December, 1944. | ||
| 1962 | Spring | On April 28, Glen Keller captured one in his barn, about 2 miles northeast of Mantorville, Dodge Co. On April 29 Bob Janssen released the bird. | ||
| 1963 | Summer | Martin Co., 2 mi S. Truman. On about Sep. 1, farmer noted owls in his barn, reported them to Maynard Nelson of Fairmont. On Sep. 14, Avifauna! Club observed and photographed the 6y. The adults were also present. Pellets collected, 6y banded by R. Huber. This appears to be only the second nesting for our state. A Note of Interest will appear in future issue. | ||

| 1991 | Spring | Barn Owls returned to their nesting site in Vermillion Township, Dakota County (The Loon 63:231). They nested in a new Iy erected nest box placed by the Minnesota DNR. | ||
