| 1930 | Summer | An unusually early nest of this species was found near Shakopee by Ralph Woolsey and Leander Fischer on May 20th, at which time it held two eggs. The second nest was foUnd at Silver Lake, near Excelsior, by the writer* in which the fifth egg vas laid, July 21st. These hatched on August 1st, Nunie:rous other nests were found, the latest by the writer on September 6th, at which time it held three young, just hatched, and two eggs. On September 13th this nest held two young, still fe:r from ready to leave the ne11t. -32 -The Elicker, 1930 | ||
| 1931 | Summer | The first nest reported contained two eggs on July 13th. The last two nests contained four eggs on August 18th (Harius t1orse) and three young about four days old on August 23rd was reported byMr. Swedenborg. | ||

RED-EYED TOWHEE A nest of the chewink found by Cumoings at Red Wing on June 23rd contained a single young bird. | ||
| 1934 | Summer | A nest with 3 eggs, found by Risser at Sturgeon Lako on July 11th, was the first record of an occupied nest this season. On a much earlier date (May 25th) Hanson and Hiemenz saw a American Goldfinch co.rrying nesting material near St. Cloud. Tho latest nest, with eggs held 4 when found by Hiemenz on August 31st at St. Cloud. The same observer discovered a nest containing a young bird ready to leave the nest on September 16th, P. 53 also at St. Cloud. This fledgling was blind, so one of Hiomen1z' friends took it home~ but it died the nest motning. | ||
