1966Springa fully adult male was seen and photographed by R. Behrens of Red Wing during late April in the backwaters of North Red Wing, Wisconsin; Mr. Behrens showed the bird to Wally Jiracek and RLH on 4-21 at which time the bird flew from its pond westward through the trees to the Mississippi River and possibly across the river into Minnesota. The bird was seen a few days later by HFH, WRP, RBJ and others, still at North Red Wing. See Notes of Interest in the June issue.
